Every now and then I get into a phase where I am really into fashion， past and present。 You would never know it to look at me but I am totally into the fashion scene。。。the girlier the better。 And Dior is one of my favorites。 This was a graphic novel about a young writer who becomes a model for Dior through some random circumstances。。。and then stops modeling when she falls in love。 I loved the story and I loved the pictures。。。not much more than that to say about it。。。other than it was a fast and Every now and then I get into a phase where I am really into fashion， past and present。 You would never know it to look at me but I am totally into the fashion scene。。。the girlier the better。 And Dior is one of my favorites。 This was a graphic novel about a young writer who becomes a model for Dior through some random circumstances。。。and then stops modeling when she falls in love。 I loved the story and I loved the pictures。。。not much more than that to say about it。。。other than it was a fast and easy read with some beautiful drawings thrown in。 :） 。。。more

。 Tenía espectativas altas， pero en realidad me decepcionó mucho。 Destaco las ilustraciones que son hermosas， y el hecho que parte de la historia nos permite conocer al gran magnate de la moda como lo fue Christian Dior， logré simpatizar mucho con él y todo lo que logró hacer para ser tan conocido y marcar un antes y un después en la moda。 Si la historia solo se hubiera centrado en él， hubiera sido magnífica， pero cuenta la historia de una chica que por diferentes motivos se convierte en modelo 。 Tenía espectativas altas， pero en realidad me decepcionó mucho。 Destaco las ilustraciones que son hermosas， y el hecho que parte de la historia nos permite conocer al gran magnate de la moda como lo fue Christian Dior， logré simpatizar mucho con él y todo lo que logró hacer para ser tan conocido y marcar un antes y un después en la moda。 Si la historia solo se hubiera centrado en él， hubiera sido magnífica， pero cuenta la historia de una chica que por diferentes motivos se convierte en modelo de esta marca。Es una historia confusa， no logras agarrar el hilo del conflicto si no ya cuando vas por casi la mitad del libro， y algunas partes las sentí sin sentido。 Pero si te gusta la moda， y conocer como fue parte de la historia de Christian Dior， pues creo que sería una excelente opción。 Además que las ilustraciones de los diseños de esa época son hermosísimas。 。。。more

The viewpoint of Girl in Dior makes you feel like you are observing Dior with Clara， a fashion-reporter-turned model from afar and then up close， as a personal friend。 I know people aren't fond of the way this story seems to skip from perspective to perspective but I rather enjoyed the one foot in， one foot out perspective because it makes you feel like Clara。 Unsure about this mysterious person and his legacy but eventually the personal moments between Dior and Clara make you feel like this is The viewpoint of Girl in Dior makes you feel like you are observing Dior with Clara， a fashion-reporter-turned model from afar and then up close， as a personal friend。 I know people aren't fond of the way this story seems to skip from perspective to perspective but I rather enjoyed the one foot in， one foot out perspective because it makes you feel like Clara。 Unsure about this mysterious person and his legacy but eventually the personal moments between Dior and Clara make you feel like this is about someone who has truly touched not just her fictional life but others around him with his generosity as well as changed the course of high fashion for the time period of his vivacious creations。 。。。more

Uninspiring， and boring。 I was nearly finished with the book when I realized it’s a fictional account， which was also a huge disappointment。 I wasn’t a huge fan of the illustrations but I did feel like they were inspired by fashion sketches so they seemed appropriate for the book。

kind of fails as a history and as a biography and as a fun read。 also not a huge fan of the art style。 the dresses are drawn beautifully， but some of the people look。。。。scary。 i did learn a couple things， but overall i wish this were more in-depth。
